Instant messaging for parents

Parents can message the nursery directly via the Parent App. Whether it is a quick notification that you are running a bit late, or just want to check in on your child who might be feeling poorly, you can do so in just a few short clicks!

  • Click the messaging icon in top-right corner > select your child > type your message > click the send arrow.

πŸ“ŒIf you can't see the messenger icon in the top right corner, it could be because the nursery has chosen not to activate this feature.

FAQs:

How can I receive instant messages from the nursery?

  • As long as you have Blossom Parent App notifications turned on in your phone settings, you will receive a notification on your phone informing you of a message from the nursery. You will see the number of unread messages on the messaging icon inside the app.

Who can read the messages I send to the nursery?

  • Messages sent will be visible to all of your child's contacts with parental responsibility and Parent App access enabled.

  • All nursery staff members are able to see messages that you send. Do not send private messages intended for just managers, for example, through the instant messenger.

If I have more than one child in the setting, how can I view their messages?

  • Each child will be displayed as a separate conversation on the Parent App.

Do all of the contacts linked to my child have access to send instant messages?

  • Only contacts linked to the individual child with Parental Responsibility are able to send an instant message to the nursery.

Can all contacts linked to my child with Parental Responsibility see each other's communications?

  • Yes, any communication sent by a contact with Parental Responsibility can be seen by another contact with Parental Responsibility that is directly linked to the child.

  • The messages sent by the nursery will also be seen by all Parental Responsibility contacts for the child.
