Requesting extra sessions: unavailable times settings

It is time to set your unavailable times! However, you only need to set these times if you wish to block out a specific time or day.

Why is setting your unavailable times optional?

This is because the feature automatically links up to your occupancy. Therefore, the system will be able to identify when you have available times & when you do not.

Remember! Although a parent may request an extra session the nursery will always need to approve or deny the sessions.

First it is important to understand the core difference between exceptional and regular times.

Exceptional times: This is a one off date & time whereby the parent is unable to request extra sessions.

Regular times: These are times that you do not allow requestable extra sessions to be booked each week.

Remember! If you are a term-time nursery parents will be unable to request extra sessions outside of term time through the app.

Next, you will need to set your regular unavailable times.

  • More > Settings > Parent App > Requestable Extra Sessions > Unavailable times > Click add time on regular unavailable times > Select all rooms or specific room > Input the start & end time > Save.

Remember! You can click the three dots to delete all or add a row. This will be if you have more than one set time for a particular day.

Once you have set your regular unavailable times you are able to input your exceptional unavailable times.

  • More > Settings > Parent App > Requestable Extra Sessions > Exceptional Unavailable times > Click add time on exceptional unavailable times > Input the specific date > Input the start & end time > Select specific room > Save.

Now, you are all ready to begin using the feature!
