Risk assessments have arrived in the Safeguarding tab. This feature helps to reduce paperwork, streamlines compliance and provides quick, easy access for completing daily, weekly, monthly, or annually risk assessments.
Gettings Started
Create a template:
Who can create a template? A Manager, Deputy Manager or Nursery Admin.
More > Settings> Risk assessments > + Add template
When opening the template creator, you'll see guidance on how to word your statements.
💡 Tip: Write checklist items as positive statements.
The system flags a “No” answer as a risk.
Example: Instead of “Is the floor wet?”, use “Is the floor dry?”
Name your risk assessment template
For example: Garden, Kitchen, Playroom etc.
Choose how often the assessment should be completed: Daily, weekly, monthly or annually
Decide on reminders: Do you want a notification? If so, what time?
💡Tip: Only Managers, Deputy Managers and Room Leaders will receive notifications for risk assessments
Create your checklist:
Each item in the risk assessment will have a Yes, No or N/A option when completing the checks. Any item marked as a No will be highlighted as a risk.
Headings: Use headings to organise your items. For example, shed.
Items: These are the items in your risk assessment. For example, Is the shed securely locked?
Once you have created your Risk Assessment Template click Save.
