Next, you will need to click into core preferences. Here, you will be able to specify the sessions that you wish to be requestable to parents.

📌Only sessions with fixed times are available to be booked through the Parent App. Flexible hourly sessions will need to be added manually by the nursery as a one-off booking.

Minimum request notice: This refers to the number of days' notice a nursery requires from parents when booking extra sessions.

Maximum advance requests: This restricts the days in advance that the parent can request extra sessions. For example, if this was set to 30, the parent would only be able to request extra sessions up to 30 days in advance.

Include children's holidays and sick leave as available spaces: You can toggle whether to include these as available spaces.

Prevent parents from requesting sessions that require additional staff members: By default, this will be disabled. If the toggle is enabled, you will prevent the parent from being able to request extra sessions that require an extra member of staff.

This feature automatically links up to your occupancy. Blossom will be able to identify when you have available spaces to book & when you do not.

📌Remember! Although a parent may request an extra session, the nursery will always need to approve or decline the session before it is added to the child's booking pattern.

Regular unavailable times: These are times that you do not allow requestable extra sessions to be booked each week.

📌Remember! If you are a term-time nursery parents will be unable to request extra sessions outside of term time through the app.

Exceptional unavailable times: This is a one-off date & time when parents are unable to request extra sessions.
